Carpentry-focused handyman role for commercial build-outs and repairs.
AK General Contracting Corp is hiring a carpentry-focused handyman for commercial interiors, openings, trim, and finish carpentry across Long Island.
You will install and repair doors, frames, trim, and related carpentry packages on tenant improvements and larger repair projects.
We need someone accurate with measurements, clean with finishes, and comfortable working around occupied commercial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair doors, windows, trim, cabinetry support, and finish carpentry
- Measure, cut, and fit materials to commercial-quality standards
- Support tenant improvements and remodel carpentry scopes
- Coordinate with the crew lead on sequencing and punch lists
Requirements
- Proven carpentry experience on residential or commercial sites
- Own basic carpentry tools and understand finish-quality standards
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in occupied offices, retail, and multi-tenant buildings
